Nothing crazy here, no need to reinvent the wheel right? We simply use these ourselves as they are:
clear, which allows for ease of visual access to soil structure, root growth etc, also perfect for orchids to grow in.
On top of that, they’re a perfect size for the initial stage of propagation being 7cm at the top, fitting into most conventional seedling trays.
They have much more drainage that traditional pots, which helps the soil breathe as well as drain better
They are surprisingly strong, quite firm with a small amount of give yet not brittle, they can be reused indefinitely (well we have some that are years old with no issues so far!)
